Submit

Here are some guidelines on how to make and submit posts:

Click submit (this can also be found in the side bar). Choose whether you want to submit a text or photo post. If you’re linking to a picture online, you’ll want to use a text post; if you wish to upload a picture from your own computer then a photo post is best.

Creating images

The font we use for the images we make ourselves is Berlin Sans FB, if you don’t have this font you can download it for free here (How to install). If you’re uncomfortable downloading fonts we will also post images made using (bolded) Arial. We realise that not everybody has Photoshop, so we don’t expect every submission to be flawless, but please ensure that the font is a legible size, white, and if you can/know how please use stroke and drop shadow on the text.

Also, if you could make sure the image is the highest quality possible, that would be great too.

Formatting posts

Posts should have the TFLN in the image, which links to the actual TFLN itself. If you’d like to, you can include your tumblr name in the post as credit, but that’s up to you. A good example of post formatting would be something like this:

(508): holy shit thats the most artistic dick pic ever

urawrd

The easiest way to do this is:

  • copy and paste the text
  • copy the TFLN’s url
  • highlight the text you just pasted into the post
  • click the ‘insert/edit link’ button at the top of the caption box:
  • paste the url into the box that comes up and click ‘insert’:
  • ?????
  • profit!

Tagging posts

Because posts need to be tagged when they’re submitted now, we’ve decided to stop tagging every single person in every single image, to make it easier for you guys. Instead, we just want the band itself to be tagged, as well as ‘bandom tfln’, which we’ve always tagged every image with anyway. When you go to the submission page, you’ll notice that tagging is as simple as clicking a few tickyboxes. Who doesn’t love tickyboxes, right? Tickyboxes are A+.

So anyway, simply tick the box marked ‘bandom tfln’, then the box(es) that indicate which band(s) you’re submitting images for. We’ve added a boatload of options to the submission page already, but if the band you want to tag isn’t there, pop it in the post when you submit and we’ll add them in.

When you’ve done all of the above, simply click the “submit” button at the bottom and your part is finished!
