FAQs
Who runs this tumblr?
There are two of us - Han/sleepingwithroaches and Kelly/urawrd - between us we keep this place running by turning your brilliant submissions into bandom TFLN pictures!
Can I just submit my own picture?
You can! Here are some guidelines on how to make and submit posts:
Click submit (this can also be found in the side bar). Choose whether you want to submit a text or photo post. If you’re linking to a picture online, you’ll want to use a text post; if you wish to upload a picture from your own computer then a photo post is best.
Creating images
The font we use for the images we make ourselves is Berlin Sans FB, if you don’t have this font you can download it for free here (How to install). If you’re uncomfortable downloading fonts we will also post images made using (bolded) Arial. We realise that not everybody has Photoshop, so we don’t expect every submission to be flawless, but please ensure that the font is a legible size, white, and if you can/know how please use stroke and drop shadow on the text.
Also, if you could make sure the image is the highest quality possible, that would be great too.
Formatting posts
Posts should have the TFLN in the image, which links to the actual TFLN itself. If you’d like to, you can include your tumblr name in the post as credit, but that’s up to you. A good example of post formatting would be something like this:
(508): holy shit thats the most artistic dick pic ever
- urawrd
The easiest way to do this is:
- copy and paste the text
- copy the TFLN’s url
- highlight the text you just pasted into the post
- click the ‘insert/edit link’ button at the top of the caption box:

- paste the url into the box that comes up and click ‘insert’:

- ?????
- profit!
Tagging posts
Because posts need to be tagged when they’re submitted now, we’ve decided to stop tagging every single person in every single image, to make it easier for you guys. Instead, we just want the band itself to be tagged, as well as ‘bandom tfln’, which we’ve always tagged every image with anyway. When you go to the submission page, you’ll notice that tagging is as simple as clicking a few tickyboxes. Who doesn’t love tickyboxes, right? Tickyboxes are A+.
So anyway, simply tick the box marked ‘bandom tfln’, then the box(es) that indicate which band(s) you’re submitting images for. We’ve added a boatload of options to the submission page already, but if the band you want to tag isn’t there, pop it in the post when you submit and we’ll add them in.
When you’ve done all of the above, simply click the “submit” button at the bottom and your part is finished!
Which bands can I submit?
If the band is usually considered a bandom band, they’re accepted. This means bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds To Mars, etc. It doesn’t mean bands like The Beatles or N-Dubz, unless of course, you find a picture that has N-Dubz and Gerard Way being BFFs or something.
How long until my submission is posted?
At any given time we have between 10 and 100 submissions queued. The queue posts six times a day - which we feel is enough times that we’re not spamming your dashboards, nor too few that you forget we exist - so generally speaking it takes anywhere between two days and two weeks for a submission to be posted.
I submitted something over a week ago and it hasn’t been posted! Where is it?
There are a few reasons why this could be. A week was a rough guess so it could just be that we’ve had a lot of submissions that week and it’ll take a little longer. Or it could be that the TFLN that you submitted is a duplicate of one (or more) that we have done before. Or it could be that either the picture or TFLN link you posted didn’t work. Or, of course, it could just be that we didn’t think your post made much sense.
Can you give me the picture from a certain TFLN?
We don’t save the raw images from any TFLN so the most we can do is Google it or ask our followers if they know where to find it, so we suggest that you please Google it yourself before asking.
I want to find a certain TFLN, how can I do that?
The main way to do something like this would be to look through the tags. Each post is tagged with the bands they contain so can be found by typing /tagged/BAND NAME (with spaces between words - eg. /tagged/my chemical romance) onto the end of the bandom-tfln url.
